Easter in New Delhi (Updated 2026)

This was a great, no hassle way to explore the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. You are cared for the whole way. The train ride was also comfortable and an added bonus in terms of real Indian life. Farid was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the sites to make sure you truly understand their history, significance and their stories. The day is long, so dress comfortably and only bring your essentials. There will be an art/shopping component but there was no serious pressure to buy while you also get to learn a lot about truly artisinal work. This part is skippable, though it would mean sitting around for a couple of hours before your train back. Overall, would highly recommend! As a solo traveller, it made it super easy and enjoyable

The day was very smooth and well choreographed. Our guide Shabab was amazing - super attentive and really reassuring to have someone who is familiar with the place to lead us around. It was also great to not have to wait in the (extremely long) line!

Neha lead a very lovely afternoon for the five of us ladies to do a street food tour. She did an excellent job of navigating the chaotic Delhi streets and Metro. It was nice to get away from our Karol Bagh neighborhood and explore another neighborhood around the university. Highly recommended. We booked through our Intrepid tour guide.

We spent three days on our own in India before joining a Gate 1 tour and did three all-day tours with three different guides. Mona was by *far* the best, He was knowledgable, friendly, accommodating, and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

While on my first 2 week business trip to India, I spent the weekend in Delhi. I thought that shopping would be a great way to experience the city. I was correct. Shehla and her teammate picked me up directly from the JW Marriott and brought me to Chandi Chowk market and found beautiful stores with jewelry, hand stitched pashminas, rugs, and clothing. We also then walked to the spice market, very vibrant. She then took me on a bicycle taxi and got to experience the scene which was thrilling and authentic.We then got in a car and went to upscale Khan Market and found my wife beautiful clothes, dresses for my daughters, and cotton table cloth.If you’re a business person on travel in Delhi and looking to experience the city I highly recommend Shehla and team. Very nice, very accommodating.

What a memorable day! My driver, Sahil, and my shopping consultant, Shehla, were an incredible team. They picked me up at my Noida hotel and we spent the day together talking history, culture and shopping. Sahil has a broad knowledge of history and Indian culture, which added so much to my experience. Shehla took me shopping at a lovely center that offered textiles, jewelry, art and rugs. We also went, at my request, to the Old Delhi spice market and to buy ribbon. We even rode a rickshaw together! I felt like I really got to see Old Delhi, and both Sahiil and Shehla were absolutely lovely to spend the day with. I am grateful for them giving me an unforgettable experience in Delhi. (and the shopping was amazing!)

Because I had read Gandhi's autobiography and seen the film, I was able to appreciate so much more of this day! There are so many photos, artwork, historical items, etc. for view. The museums have state of the art tech displays I hadn't seen before. You visit two museums, see where he was assassinated, and see where he was cremated and there is an eternal flame in the park for him. This was a great way to add to my city tours of the main sites already. My Intrepid guide was very easy to understand (English) and communicated ahead of time via WhatsApp. We met at the Park Hotel--just an fyi the restaurant there is super expensive $30/lunch so don't make my mistake and go early to eat first!
