New Delhi Historical & Heritage Tours

Today I spent a fantastic day with my friend Varun. Varun was keen to stress from the very start that he is not a tour guide, but my friend in India. This immediately put me at ease and it led to what was an incredible way to spend my first day in India. Varun helped me navigate the overwhelming streets of Old Delhi, discovering hidden gems and being immersed in local culture. The day flower excellently and the food was incredible, as was Varuns knowledge of the history of India. At the end of the trip Varun arranged for my onward travel and gave me recommendations for the rest of the day. All in all this was an amazing day and I would encourage anyone coming to Delhi to start their time off with this tour. Thank you!

I can not recommend Masterji Kee Haveli Tours highly enough. The four hours we spent with our very experienced local guide, Vivian, unlocked the charms of the seemingly daunting Old Delhi in a way that would be impossible to achieved on one’s own. Vivian explained the history of the area as he effortlessly and unobtrusively introduced us to delicious street food from carefully selected vendors. We were introduced to Hindu customs and navigated the area both by foot and by tuk tuk. We finished with a home cooked meal in the last Haveli in Old Delhi still in the hands of a private family. We felt honoured to be introduced to Old Delhi by such a passionate guide. Definitely worth a five star rating.

She has such positive aura that keeps the office lively and happy. Any problem you discuss with her, she will definitely come back with a solution, also guides you when required. Wonderful tour of the highlights of Agra! Our tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. Even though our time was short, he managed to move us thru many locations and detailing the past and present of the region! This was my second Old Delhi walking tour arranged through Dhruv and his passionate team. My first in 2016 was amazing, and lead to many recommendations to friends who were equally impressed by the tour and Dhruv's other touring services. So, I recommended the Old Delhi tour once again to my group of 12 starting out on our kayaking/rafting expedition down the Kali Sarda river. What a superb start to our Indian adventure. Sites, sounds, smells and tastes, and insights into Indian culture that we couldn't have experienced without our knowledgeable enthusiastic guide - Varun. So, an exceptional day's walking tour which culminated in a delicious Indian banquet at Dhruvs family Haveli in old Delhi. Wow, one of the highlights of our 10 days in India. We did the food tour the morning after landing the night before and it was a great way of easing us into India. We were looked after so well by Varun who was the best guide of our whole trip. Old Delhi would of been exhausting to navigate alone and we wouldn't of stood a chance without Varun. You will not regret this tour...

I remember how exciting and overwhelming it was,the very first experience in the city of Lord Krishna.People do know about Vrindavan but mislead about the beauty behind the culture of the cult and society.People come across the world to visit this holy place.

I had a tour of the Taj Mahal with Sunil. He was very kind and took so many pictures for me since I was alone. He also gave me some history of the site as we walked around and took me to a shop where they make the stones where you could buy some if you want. Highly recommend!

We had the best time in Agra. We were shown the Taj Mahal and all of the best photo spots! He was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions throughout the tour. He then showed us an amazing factory where they create beautiful items. He didn’t push us to buy anything but just brought us to the best places! Definitely would recommend!!! Hope we get to come back.

I joined Masterji Kee Haveli Tours for a very short Golden Triangle tour of India. They organised it brilliantly and every thing turned out as expected. My guide in Delhi Anju Varma was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, caring, courteous and professional. She made me feel very welcome and the hospitality was brilliant and I learnt so much about the Indian culture, religion and way of life from her. Then there is my driver Basant who was the best driver I have ever had. He was friendly, professional, caring, patient and great driving skills. Basant took care of my every need throughout my tour from taking care of driving me to all the tourist spots and hotels. I have a fantastic time in India with my guide Anju and my driver Basant and all the guides arranged at the tourist sites. The Taj Mahal was just spectacular one can not have enough time at the Taj. The Agra Fort, the Stepped Well Chand Baori, Amer Fort and the rest were all very interesting and an eye opener ! The guides in Agra and Jaipur were very good and knows the place well. Finally, I would like to thank Dhruv , the co founder of Masterji Kee Haveli Tours who arranged and organised the trip for me on short notice. Excellent walking tour with great explanation of the history of the place. We also ate lots of local dishes and the lunch at the Havelli was spectacular.

Unique and so great experience to discover Old and New Delhi through side ways that will allow you to see, smell, eat, feel, hear and most importantly to understand what is Hindu culture and its multi-millenary history. I am glad with the full experience, and the kindness of our guide and our host was a definitive part of it. Ram ram.

A truly amazing tour of Old Delhi. Anju is full of life and a fun person to spend the day with. She took us all over Old Delhi, exploring nooks and crannies, rooftops, etc. that we would have never seen on our own. Wonderful food including an amazing lunch at on old Haveli.
